One study claims that employees spend 40% of their workday dealing with e-mail and that 15% of that time is wasted. Many workers say those figures are generous. Time can be a company's most expensive, most valuable, most perishable -- and most wasted -- resource. E-mail,
maybe the greatest communication vehicle ever invented, is actually
a silent and serious time killer. Employees
repeatedly say they take too much time composing e-mails - and
far too much time dealing with unnecessary and even incomprehensible
e-mails. The Business
of Writing, takes direct aim at those issues. The course's objective
is simple: Provide the skills and techniques to communicate
clearly and concisely - and do it faster. Note the
emphasis on "communicate" rather than "write."
